ON the Rapid Mend

Thanks to all for your expressions of concern. I'm on the mend. Just my second full day at home, I ran several errands, cleaned the house, walked the dogs, did about 15 minutes of tai chi, wrote a complaint to the State Department of Health regarding my (former) cardiologist, and got a good start on Monday's article.

So fear not. I'll be back!

Best,

Jeff

  1. Wonderful news! Glad you're feeling better and looking forward to Monday's post (lemme guess, Obama's Nobel speech, right?).

Darn it Jeff. You must stop copying me! I know that I was the first on my block to get H1N1 and then that turned into strep/tonsillitis a few weeks later. The family was grateful for the relative quiet but I was down for a long time. So don't follow my lead by doing too much and then relapsing into something stupid (and not the good ,'Frank Sinatra' kind of "stupid"). Here is a toast to two old birds who got swined.

  4. I'm glad you're feeling better, Jeff. The dogs must have been delirious to see you again. That's the problem with blogs - people disappear and you don't know what happened to them.

I see there's a major snow storm from Virgina, up through DC, Maryland, Delaware and now heading for NY. I didn't know that it ever snowed in Virginia.

It's really cold here. The lake has started to freeze already. It's usually a couple of weeks into January before that happens.

Happy holidays to you all, whatever you celebrate. Winter solstice at noon on Monday, then things start getting brighter - well, seasonwise, anyway. Other things? We'll have to wait and see.

Very glad to hear that you are on the mend. There was a definitely hole in my blog feeds. While I don't post here all the time, I'm stopping by a couple-three times per week to keep up with your take on events. I look forward to Monday and thanks.

Best wishes for the holidays. Cardiologists are fun, especially when they try to explain away a statin induced blood clot in the heart.

  11. Cardiologists should be making little rocks out of big ones. I'm having a jolly old time corresponding with the VA dept. of health about these characters. Ho, ho, ho!
