What do you think the Iraq people will do? I think that the entire country will decide that killing americans is rare sport and that since the amis can't be trusted to keep their word, then why should we.
Is the national vote on the SOFA skd for after 30 jun?
What would happen if Obama says-as president- the we will leave Iraq on either his 10 month or the SOFA 16 month time frame, and the military says well no, conditions on the ground say we stay. What if the Iraqis say, F you, you signed an agreement to get every ami soldier out by date cirten. Then what?
A clear reading of history says that we are a very fear filled people, why else would we allow the Military Industrial complex, the military and the rep. chicken hawks scare the crap out of us all the time?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-71716575565426038322008-12-04T10:39:00.000-05:002008-12-04T10:39:00.000-05:00Thanks, SF.Thanks, SF.Jeff Huberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14146644937683409726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-77410552543740189622008-12-04T10:37:00.000-05:002008-12-04T10:37:00.000-05:00great white junta!!! that's friggin awesome! tha...great white junta!!! that's friggin awesome! that's your best yet - thats historically good! - BZ - SFAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-693860668027912852008-12-01T14:04:00.000-05:002008-12-01T14:04:00.000-05:00Yep, Doggie Feith and Long John Bolton won't starv...Yep, Doggie Feith and Long John Bolton won't starve, that's for certain.

JeffJeff Huberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14146644937683409726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-86206316924797728912008-12-01T13:26:00.000-05:002008-12-01T13:26:00.000-05:00"a fistful of neocons are meeting in the basement ..."a fistful of neocons are meeting in the basement of some think tank"

In fact, it's almost as if they intensify their efforts, as during Clinton's presidency, when they're out of power.

And there's never a shortage of conservative super-rich and their foundations willing to fund them.Russ Wellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00598728646589830119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-88785364192962186082008-12-01T11:30:00.000-05:002008-12-01T11:30:00.000-05:00WK, If Kristol's any indication, being a nincompoo...WK,

If Kristol's any indication, being a nincompoop is fairly lucrative. ;-)

JeffJeff Huberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14146644937683409726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-7087229769737149802008-12-01T10:21:00.000-05:002008-12-01T10:21:00.000-05:00Brigadier General William Kristol says we should s...Brigadier General William Kristol says we should send the Navy and Marines to mop up the Somali pirates, including a land invasion.

I wonder what it's like to be a know-nothing nincompoop day in and day out?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-71983440157144691672008-11-30T21:07:00.000-05:002008-11-30T21:07:00.000-05:00But, oh, Iran really can't attack Israel, unless t...But, oh, Iran really can't attack Israel, unless they really want to mess around with a TBM carrying bugs, germs or HE, which isn't worth the trouble it would bring them.

JeffJeff Huberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14146644937683409726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-1693126518652934172008-11-30T21:06:00.000-05:002008-11-30T21:06:00.000-05:00Anon and OB, I believe you're both talking Israel,...Anon and OB,

I believe you're both talking Israel, and I'm as dismayed as anyone by Obama's apparent taking up of the bowing and scraping mantle.

I still say that if they want us to guarantee their security, let them move to Utah and pay taxes.

JeffJeff Huberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14146644937683409726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-3240072009192639712008-11-30T20:57:00.000-05:002008-11-30T20:57:00.000-05:00But Iran, as we know having been told often enough...But Iran, as we know having been told often enough, can attack our 52st state, Israel. It bothers me that very few citizens of the US do not question the practice of candidates having to pledge allegiance and support for a foreign government to be considered for the office of president of the United States.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-29938774874222755952008-11-30T15:44:00.000-05:002008-11-30T15:44:00.000-05:00Anon, I'm in favor o f at least getting rid of the...Anon,

I'm in favor o f at least getting rid of the "all or nothing" elector system, and letting each sate split its votes to reflect the popular vote.

Dave,

Ah, Yes, Minister, now that was one fine, fine political satire.

JeffJeff Huberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14146644937683409726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-79015262562437534112008-11-30T13:21:00.000-05:002008-11-30T13:21:00.000-05:00and it's a dead certainty that a fistful of neocon...and it's a dead certainty that a fistful of neocons are meeting in the basement of some think tank these days cooking up 10,000 ways to put one over on the colored guy.

If you expand that fistful to include 102 Senators & 435 Representatives, along with the existing bureaucracy (why does the old sit-com Yes, Minister suddenly come to mind?) you'll realize why electing Washington outsiders never works. Most European countries allow their citizens to choose from many parties, and it works.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
