I'm Indy and she is a Dem. As the Pa. Primary is not til June registering Repub is not worth it. However we will send what meager $ we have and do other things.
I would of supported Rep. Kucinich except that his 2004 campaign took 6 months to take me up on numerous(phone, fax, email) offers to support and campaign for him.

On the subject of of Bush retaining control, while that idea is a genuine fear, one must understand that the Office of the President is now designed to give the impression that the President has contro, while the true powers are on the sideline or behind the scenes. I submit that Bush does not have to retain the office for the Neo-Cons to maintain control. They have Hillary.

I also want to share this article with everybody here. While to err is Human, it is my understanding that there are supposed to be at least 2 ears on watch for subs. My guess is that a friendly sub was also in the immediate area.
PeaceHumanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03841858873953907185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-67672136983343343152007-11-10T11:24:00.000-05:002007-11-10T11:24:00.000-05:00P.S. There are even billboards up from his campaign along US-195! But although he's mainstream on the Iraq War, many of his social and economic policies would be beyond the pale for the average American.

Having participated in the floor fights in the last presidential election cycle, Kucinich raises my bile. I blame him for Kerry's defeat in the last election, and about all I'd want to do with DK is run a broadsword through him. :) But it is very true that he is an excellent attack dog when it comes to this administration.

The problem is that we live in a political age of cowardice. Although the trends pre-dated the 1980 election, Ronald Reagan established the model by which all major politicians with presidential ambitions now toe: look good in the camera, sound good in the microphone, don't say anything meaningful on the election trail, and delegate all responsibility away after the election to as many minions as possible for maximum "plausible deniability."

What I wouldn't do for TR or Truman right now!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12796551.post-86876315245360236952007-11-09T16:14:00.000-05:002007-11-09T16:14:00.000-05:00Jeff- I wonder how bad it has to get before there ...Jeff-
I wonder how bad it has to get before there is the kind of social unrest that was seen in the 1960's, and I also ponder what the loss of Habeas Corpus will have on those of us who are angry enough to actively protest.
